Happy New Year! If you haven’t noticed, I’ve taken a few weeks off from the food blogging world. Christmas and New Year’s were pretty busy. We spent a lot of time with family and hosted our annual Christmas Dinner party for all our friends. I needed some time off from blogging to enjoy all the holiday fun. And I spent a lot of time reflecting what worked and what didn’t work for me in 2017. Mostly I’ve been working on my new projects for 2018. I don’t think project is the right word. Business. Marinara sauce is one of my top favorite foods, like for real. You will have a very hard time convincing me to order a pizza without marinara sauce. I eat this stuff by the spoonful! I wish I could say that this recipe is an original, but I haven’t been able to come up with a better marinara sauce on my own. I’m always trying to get people to eat more vegetables. Sometimes I feel like it’s my number one mission in life as a dietitian. We often make eating too complicated, too many rules. I like to keep things simple and my top recommendation for healthy eating is to eat vegetables and protein. Vegetables taste much better with a little bit of fat and salt.
