What better way to make use of my Low Carb Chocolate Chip Cookies than to pair them with KillerWhey! high protein ice cream! Each low carb chocolate chip cookie has 7.7 grams of protein, so when you use two cookies to make an ice cream sandwich, that’s 15 grams of protein. KillerWhey! high protein ice cream has 11 g of protein per serving. So 26 grams of protein in an ice cream sandwich! Pretty good!
Kris and I have been sick all week. Horrible sore throat, cough, achy, runny nose….it’s going around. I think almost everyone I know has been sick. It’s like flu season came early, very early. I knew I was getting sick, felt it slowly coming on and I tried to fight it, but definitely lost.
It’s rough when both you and your spouse are sick. Not much getting done around the house or yard. We’re planning on putting sod down in our backyard this weekend and are supposed to be doing all the prep work this week. But all I’ve done is sit on the couch and watch Netflix and plays Threes on my phone.
And I have no appetite since being sick. Nothing sounds good and my throat is too sore to eat much. Unfortunately, healthy food does not sound good when you’re sick. A salad is just not very appealing right now. So I’ve been eating ice cream. Luckily I have a bunch of KillerWhey! on stock and don’t feel guilty living off ice cream. Ice cream feels so good on a sore throat!
You can make ice cream sandwiches with any flavor of ice cream and any type of cookies. Use homemade cookies or store bought cookies. Also, ice cream sandwiches are a good party dessert. Have a build your own ice cream sandwich bar with a variety of cookies and ice creams. I just recommend KillerWhey! high protein ice cream and my low carb chocolate chip cookies be included!
