I started this blog back in 2016 with my late husband, Kris. Having a food blog has always been one of my dreams. At first, I just wanted to share delicious food but my tastes and knowledge have changed over the years and my food focus shifted towards keto and low-carb eating.
I don’t cook as much as I used to before Kris died. Food doesn’t have the same appeal. I took a three-year hiatus from blogging (August 2019 to August 2022). The majority of my posts from March 2018 to August 2019 are about life after Kris. I posted a few recipes during that time but found the process overwhelming. With Kris, I created the content and he took care of the technical aspects. I definitely had a few meltdowns due to technical issues after he died. Posts prior to March 2018 are pretty much all recipe posts.
In November 2019 I met a man who is more amazing than I could’ve ever dreamed. A man who accepts me as I am and loves me unconditionally. We had a whirlwind romance, and I didn’t know love like this could exist. Scott made me believe in love and life again. We met and married in three months, and I couldn’t be happier.
Life has changed me. Kris changed me. His death completely changed me. Meeting and marrying Scott has changed me. I’m on a completely different life trajectory than I ever imagined. Life keeps moving forward and I’m enjoying the ride.
I won’t pretend that I know all the answers or have things figured out, but I’m back to blogging!
