I’m Emily, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a passion for food and health. My goal is to share not only my love of food, but also delicious and healthy recipes. The recipes I share spotlight real foods. I want this blog to be a resource for healthy eating but also a place to share some of my more ambitious cooking adventures. Part of life is enjoying food, all foods.
Food blogging is something that I have wanted to do for a really, really long time, since college actually. I have been talking to Kris about food blogging since we started dating, and with his encouragement (and advanced technical skills) am finally sharing my passion for cooking with the world. I want to share the meals I create with the hope of inspiring others to get in the kitchen and do the same.
To be honest, I think about food and nutrition all the time! Almost to the point of obsession…. Over the years, I have developed a firm belief that overall health is a direct result of lifestyle choices. I believe that a healthy diet can help prevent chronic disease and make people feel their best each and every day. Because of my career path as a clinical dietitian, I work with a lot of very sick people. Kris’s background is in engineering. He’s in charge of the technical side of my blogging world. And he acts as my personal food critic, taste tester, and sounding board. He keeps me grounded. Kris enjoys cooking and eating as much as I do. He makes the best breakfasts and mans the grill. Kris’s favorite food is sandwiches. He can, and will, turn any meal into a sandwich.
Together we are Bound by Food. We enjoy cooking meals together, eating at local restaurants, camping, traveling, gardening, and being pet parents.
