I know liver pâté isn’t the most appealing thing to most people. Actually, I think I grossed out a lot of people when I posted it to my Instagram stories. I want to say that I had tried pâté before I made it, maybe in Germany, but honestly I’m not sure. I had just sat down to start writing up my post of Jacques Pépin’s Chicken Liver Pâté when I got the call from the U.S. Embassy in Israel about Kris.
Beef and Cabbage Soup
It snowed over five inches in Boise yesterday! It was the first time this winter that I’ve had to drive to work in the snow. And it was a horrible drive, almost got in a crash on the freeway, cars sliding all over the place. And it’s so cold outside! Idaho weather is crazy. We go from highs in the 60s with my daffodils and tulips coming up to highs barely reaching 30 degrees and snow. So with the weather turning cold again, I’m going back to my winter hibernating and made this Beef and Cabbage Soup.

These are the cookies you should make for your Valentine’s Day dessert. And then these are probably one of the only chocolate chip cookies recipes you ever need to make again. I’ve been itching for a reason to make these cookies. They’ve been ALL over Instagram. Everyone is making Alison Roman’s Salted Butter and Chocolate Chunk Shortbread Cookies. One of our friends brought these cookies to our house for our annual Christmas party and I ate so many. I’ve been wanting to make them myself since then.
