Marinara sauce is one of my top favorite foods, like for real. You will have a very hard time convincing me to order a pizza without marinara sauce. I eat this stuff by the spoonful! I wish I could say that this recipe is an original, but I haven’t been able to come up with a better marinara sauce on my own. So I’m sticking with this method from Smitten Kitchen’s Lazy Pizza Dough and Favorite Margarita Pizza post. And I figured it was about time I shared this amazing recipe for my absolute favorite marinara sauce.
Pan-seared Flat Iron Steak with Pesto Sauce

So a few weeks ago I saw a post where someone put pesto on steak and it looked amazing! Drool worthy actually. And I thought to myself, “Why haven’t I ever put pesto on steak? Seriously? I must try this immediately!” And then I procrastinated for like three weeks…. I can’t remember where I originally saw steak with pesto or I’d give them a shout out because Pan-seared Steak with Pesto Sauce is in the dinner rotation now!

Garlic Green Beans
Simple recipes are the best recipes. So often I find myself caught in a food rut where I can’t even think of a new, creative recipe. Mind blank. And then we just end up eating taco salad or acorn squash chili every week. Nothing wrong with that, but come on, I have a food blog, coming up with new recipes is what I do! It shouldn’t be a struggle! So taking it back to simple this week because my mind won’t do creative. And even though these Garlic Green Beans are so simple to make, they will still impress your taste buds. Promise (unless you hate garlic, then you’re SOL, ha)!
